Messaging and groupware software for Windows from Microsoft. Exchange Server is an Internet-compliant e-mail system that runs under Windows NT/2000 and Windows Server 2003. It can be accessed by Web browsers, the Exchange client, versions of Outlook and the earlier Windows Inbox. Exchange Server also stores files for sharing.
The Clients
The Exchange client includes e-mail, server based rules, forms design, threaded discussions and group calendaring and scheduling. The Inbox is a limited version of the Exchange client that was included on Windows 95 and NT/2000 desktops.
