ITXC provides call completion services (routing, authorization and settlement) to long distance carriers, mobile carriers and prepaid service providers using the Internet as the transport. The majority of traffic is international phone calls, and most of the largest telecom carriers use ITXC services.
ITXC remotely manages IP gateways installed at the telco's offices as well as its own gateways located in the U.S., England and Germany. Based on real time analysis of traffic, the ITXC-managed gateway routes each call over the best backbone available to a participating telco at the other end. For more information, visit www.teleglobe.com. See IP gateway.
