(Interim Standard-95) The standards name for first-generation CDMA cellphone technology. Operating in the 800 MHz band and the 1.9 GHz PCS band, IS-95 was trademarked as "cdmaOne" by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) and is also known as "Narrowband CDMA" (N-CDMA). IS-95B adds data capability up to 64 Kbps that is integrated with voice. See CDMA and CDG.
